Accessibility
This document is being reviewed and may be revised before LoanRelay is generally available.
LoanRelay should be usable by everyone who works on loans, including people who use a keyboard instead of a mouse, a screen reader, magnification, or high-contrast settings.
Our target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, for the website, the desktop app, and the browser extension.
What we do
- Every screen can be used with the keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.
- Text and controls meet WCAG contrast ratios in both light and dark appearance.
- Status is always given in words, never by color alone.
- Pages and screens use real headings, labels, and landmarks for screen readers, and announce results as they appear.
- Text can be enlarged to 200% without losing content, and motion is reduced when your system asks for it.
- Automated accessibility checks and keyboard tests run on every change.
Known limitations
- Pages of imported PDF documents are shown as images. The text LoanRelay read from each page is available next to it.
- The browser extension works inside LOS pages made by other companies. We can’t fix accessibility problems in those pages themselves.
Tell us about a problem
If something in LoanRelay is hard to use with your setup, email prestonbrown835@gmail.com. Say what you were trying to do and what assistive technology you use, if any. We aim to reply within 5 business days, and we can help you get the information or task done another way in the meantime.
